Featured Treatment
A complete two-hour restorative experience, developed by Dr. Tank to combine the most effective tools in facial rejuvenation into one precise, methodical treatment. This isn't a facial. It's a clinical protocol designed to produce measurable, lasting results.
$350 · Two Hours · By Appointment OnlyWe begin by listening. Before anything touches your skin, Dr. Tank assesses your current state: energy levels, tension patterns, skin condition, and health goals. Every protocol is adapted to you specifically, that day, in that session. No two treatments are identical.
Tension held in the face, jaw, neck, and shoulders releases before anything else begins. Your nervous system shifts. The body softens. What follows lands differently when you arrive at it from a place of genuine calm.
A clean surface for everything that follows. We remove what's accumulated: the day, the stress, the years sitting on the skin. What's left is your skin, clear and prepared to receive the protocol ahead.
Fine, controlled micro-channels signal your skin's own repair response to activate. Collagen and elastin production begin. This is where renewal happens at the cellular level, not at the surface, but from within. Your skin begins rebuilding itself during treatment.
A calming, anti-inflammatory application settles the skin after microneedling. Inflammation reduces. The skin breathes. This prepares the tissue to receive light therapy at its maximum benefit and seals in the work done in the previous step.
Where appropriate, ultra-fine sterile needles restore energetic balance to the facial meridians and their supporting channels. Ancient intelligence, applied with clinical precision. The face relaxes in ways no topical treatment can reach, and the rest of the body follows.
Two frequencies. Two depths of healing. 620nm visible red light activates surface-level cellular renewal, stimulates collagen production, and evens tone. 840nm near-infrared light reaches deeper, reducing inflammation, accelerating tissue repair, and restoring vitality from the inside out. The session closes here, with the body doing what it was always designed to do.

What Dr. Tank Treats
Pain management is the clinical foundation of Dr. Tank's training, the specialty her program was built around, and the area where her expertise runs deepest. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is the signature practice she has developed and refined over years of treating the whole person. Both begin the same way: with her full attention on you.
Signature Specialty
Your skin tells a story of everything you've carried, held onto, and moved through. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture works beneath the surface to restore tone, circulation, and vitality to the face using the body's own regenerative intelligence.
Ultra-fine needles placed along facial and distal meridians stimulate collagen, reduce tension, improve microcirculation, and soften lines over time, with no downtime, no toxins, and no compromise to your health. This is what nature built into you. We're helping you use it.
Doctoral Specialization
Dr. Tank holds a Doctorate specifically in the clinical treatment of pain; she has spent more than a decade helping patients move from chronic pain, injury, and limitation back into their lives. Not managed. Resolved.
Her approach addresses root causes rather than symptoms. She takes the time to understand how your body moves, where it holds, and what it needs in order to actually let go. Many patients notice a meaningful shift after just one or two sessions.
Comprehensive care for stress, fatigue, sleep disruption, hormonal balance, digestive health, and overall vitality. Mind, body, and spirit, addressed as one interconnected system.
Laser acupuncture and precision microneedling-based stimulation for patients who prefer treatment without traditional needle insertion. The same clinical outcomes, adapted to your comfort.
NADA-certified and Battlefield Acupuncture trained. Compassionate, evidence-based support for those navigating recovery, meeting you where you are, without judgment.
About Your Practitioner
DAOM · L.Ac. · CMT · Licensed Acupuncturist, California
Dr. Crystal Rose Tank holds a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University, the gold standard in integrative health education in the United States, and one of only a handful of fully accredited institutions offering doctoral-level training in East Asian medicine.
She trained clinically in the Pain and Anesthesiology Service at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, treating inpatients with complex, multifaceted pain alongside physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and senior acupuncturists. Most doctoral programs in this field end with a written thesis. Crystal Rose's program culminated in a hands-on clinical doctorate, meaning her advanced training happened with real patients, in a real hospital, in one of the most demanding pain care environments in the Pacific Northwest.
She also completed two separate clinical rotations in China: at Shuguang Hospital in Shanghai in 2016, and at Zhejiang Provincial Hospital in Hangzhou in 2018, deepening her study of classical herbal medicine and acupuncture within the lineages that gave the modern practice its foundations.
Over more than a decade in practice, Dr. Tank has developed a reputation for something rarer than credentials: she listens. She takes the time to understand not just where you hurt, but how you live: what you're carrying, what you want to feel again, and what kind of care will actually reach you. Her patients consistently say the same thing: they felt heard before they felt better. And then, they felt better.
“I want you to feel better in the skin you’re in.” – Dr. Crystal Rose Tank

Frequently Asked Questions
Acupuncture uses ultra-fine, sterile needles to stimulate specific points along the body, activating the nervous system, improving circulation, and supporting the body's own natural healing response. East Asian healing traditions have mapped and refined this practice for thousands of years, describing the flow of vital energy (Qi) through meridian channels. Modern anatomy increasingly identifies fascia, the continuous connective tissue network that surrounds every muscle, nerve, and vessel in the body, as the physical substrate for those pathways. Research now shows that acupuncture needles create a measurable mechanical interaction with collagen fibers in the fascial layer, stimulating fibroblasts, resetting chronic tension patterns, and explaining how a single needle placement can produce real, felt effects far beyond its insertion point. Ancient mapping and modern anatomy are describing the same thing. Both perspectives point to the same result: your body, doing what it was built to do.
Acupuncture can alleviate pain by stimulating the body’s natural painkillers and improving circulation, providing relief from chronic pain and tension. Dr. Tank holds a Doctorate specifically in the clinical treatment of pain; it is the foundation of her practice and the area where her training runs deepest. Acupuncture prompts the release of endorphins and encephalins, the body’s own opioid-like compounds, while simultaneously improving blood flow to affected tissues and reducing the inflammatory response that drives chronic pain. For many patients, this produces meaningful, lasting relief where other interventions have only managed symptoms.
Most patients feel little to no discomfort. Acupuncture needles are far thinner than medical needles, closer to the width of a strand of hair. You may feel a brief, mild sensation when a needle is placed, followed by warmth, tingling, or a sense of heaviness; these are signs that the body is actively responding. Dr. Tank is known for her gentle, precise technique. Many patients fall asleep during treatment.
The Renewal Protocol is a two-hour clinical treatment developed by Dr. Tank that systematically combines therapeutic facial massage, enzyme cleansing, precision microneedling, cooling gel recovery, acupuncture, and dual-frequency red light therapy (620nm and 840nm) into a single methodical session. It’s designed for women who want measurable, meaningful results, not a temporary glow, but real cellular renewal that builds over time. It’s ideal for anyone noticing early signs of aging, changes in skin tone or texture, persistent fine lines, or simply anyone ready to invest seriously in their skin's health and longevity. No prior experience with acupuncture is required.
It depends on what you're treating. For pain relief, many patients notice a meaningful shift after their first session. For facial rejuvenation and The Renewal Protocol, visible improvements often begin after 3–5 sessions, with optimal cumulative results typically seen after 8–12 treatments. Dr. Tank will discuss a realistic, honest treatment plan at your first appointment; she won’t recommend more sessions than your body actually needs.
Yes. When performed by a licensed acupuncturist, acupuncture has an exceptional safety record. Dr. Tank uses only single-use, sterile, disposable needles in every treatment. She is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of California and holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, the highest clinical degree available in the field in the United States. She is also formally trained and certified in Battlefield Acupuncture and NADA protocols.
Your first session begins with a thorough consultation. Dr. Tank will ask about your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and what you hope to feel differently, soon and over time. She believes that understanding you as a whole person leads to better treatment. After the intake, she’ll build a tailored plan and begin your first treatment. Plan to come hydrated. Avoid heavy meals directly beforehand. Wear comfortable clothing. Bring your questions; she actually wants to answer them.
Yes, consistently and measurably. Acupuncture regulates the autonomic nervous system, helping the body shift from sympathetic activation (the stress response) into parasympathetic restoration (rest and repair). Patients often describe a deep calm that arrives during treatment and persists for hours or days afterward. Over a series of treatments, many patients report significantly improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and a greater sense of resilience in everyday life.
Acupuncture is a complete medical system with thousands of years of clinical history, treating the whole person through the nervous system, meridian channels, and energetic body. Dry needling is a technique, typically performed by physical therapists, that targets specific muscular trigger points only. Dr. Tank is a Doctorate-level licensed acupuncturist; she uses needling as one sophisticated tool within a comprehensive, personalized treatment system. The American Society of Acupuncturists maintains that acupuncture performed by a licensed practitioner offers broader clinical scope, deeper training, and a more complete approach to patient care.
